Nine Health and Gardening Podcasts I Recommend

Favorite Gardening and Health Podcasts

In no particular order, these are some of my current podcast favorites! I love to listen while I walk or exercise and while doing housework, and occasionally while driving.

Gardenerd Tip of the Week

My most recent favorite podcast! I love Christy Wilhelmi’s calm and cheerful demeanor and it just makes my day better whenever I can listen to her podcast! The episodes are around 20 minutes each, which makes it easy to listen to a whole podcast in one ‘sitting’- I prefer to listen while I garden 😉

The Joe Gardener Show

Joe Lamp’l shares a lot of practical tips on this podcast. He is located in a totally different gardening climate than I am, so sometimes the tips and tricks aren’t applicable here, but it’s still great listening.

Clutterbug Podcast

Ok, so this one is kind of off topic…although you could definitely use Cas Aarssen’s decluttering tips in your toolshed! I just love her quirky sense of humor and practical tips, and she definitely motivates me to get my life organized!

The Resetter Podcast

Dr. Mindy Pelz is behind this podcast. She is a lovely woman, very intelligent and passionate about her work and obviously eager to share with and help other women (and men). I love her no-nonsense, approachable attitude and highly (highly, highly) recommend this podcast!

The No-Till Market Garden Podcast

To learn about no-till farming, this is where it’s at! Farmer Jesse interviews many guests on his podcasts who have their own regenerative farms. Especially ideal to listen to when you’re starting out with no till gardening, but you can always learn. So no matter where you are at on your no-till journey, give this podcast a try!

Nutrition Farming with Graeme Sait

I mean, this one might hurt your brain because it will have to think so hard. This guy is incredibly intelligent! If you really want to learn the nitty gritty about soil health, this is the podcast for you.

The Doctor’s Farmacy with Mark Hyman, MD

One of my more frequently listened to podcasts, because Dr. Hyman and his guests speak at a level that’s easy to understand. Lots of practical tips and unique perspectives revolving around health are covered here. It was actually a few years ago while listening to Dr. Hyman interviewing someone (I wish I remembered who) about soil health, that I realized how fascinated I was with this topic.

Feel Better, Live More with Dr. Rangan Chatterjee

Positivity and optimism are key here. You couldn’t ask for a better host than Dr. Rangan Chatterjee to help you learn more about health and how to improve it. He has an incredibly soothing voice and is really the most pleasant podcast host I’ve had the pleasure of listening to! Highly recommended.

Dhru Purohit Podcast

Fascinating health topics are covered in an easy-to-understand way. Practical suggestions are always included for listeners to take steps to improve their own health, without relying solely on their family doctor. Dhru is exceptionally talented at directing a conversation, and it’s a pleasure listening to this podcast.

Conclusion

Hope you find something here that interests you! I’ll update this list as I come across more podcasts I enjoy (but who am I kidding…who has time to listen to so many different podcasts? ;)). Let me know in the comments: what are your favorite podcasts?
